 Description

Reproducibility is a cornerstone of trustworthy science, yet the incentive structures in today’s research ecosystem often fall short of supporting it. While top-down efforts, such as policy reforms from funders and publishers, play a crucial role, they are not sufficient on their own. Bottom-up, cultural change is equally vital. This webinar briefly introduced the topic and aimed to leverage an initiative led by researchers themselves, an ambassador network, to update its training material. By promoting reproducible research practices within their institutions, ambassadors helped create communities of practice, encouraged peer-to-peer learning, and gradually reshaped local norms. The main focus of the webinar was to explore how ambassadors’ knowledge and experience could be mobilised to further update and enrich the training material provided on the LORIER website, ensuring that these resources remained relevant, practical, and closely aligned with the needs of the research community.
